No...That is NOT Santa

Don't be confused, friends. This is not another picture of Addie and Santa. It is just me...9 months pregnant...in a big ass red sweater...sitting in a totally awkward position...

When I first found out I was pregnant this time around, I couldn't wait to get a picture of Addie kissing my belly. Eric and I have tried to take a few pics over the last few months, but they haven't turned out the way I wanted. Sadly...neither did this one. Although, I think Addie looks mighty cute so I am going to keep it and consider it mission accomplished :-)

And speaking of missions...this pregnancy journey is going to end in less than 4 weeks!!!! AHH!! Part of me is very relived about that. For one thing, I am at the VERY uncomfortable stage of my pregnancy (heartburn, sleeplessness, waddling, lack of style and grace, etc.) As much as I love being pregnant, I am not a big fan of the last few weeks. Also, I am just SO EXCITED to meet Blake and introduce him to his big sister. But then there is this other part of me that is sad to lose my alone time with Addie and scared shitless to have a second baby to care for at the same time. I know that once Blake is here, things will come very naturally, the same way they did when Addie arrived. Things have a funny way of falling right into place. But with Addie entering the terrible 2s at the same time...I am a little nervous about how she will handle the transition. The only thing that keeps me going is my cousin Kris, who swears that Gracie has really taken to her role as Big Sister to the twins. So if she can do it with a toddler and TWO newborns...I know I can do it with one :-) Or at least I hope so. Ha!

  8. Such an adorable picture Jen! And you look great as always! Plus, I love your candidness and straight to the point phrasing (as in "scared shitless"). Makes me laugh everytime!

  9. Jen- I think you look stunning in the picture...definitely all belly! I know that you will handle the transition to parenting two kids like a pro. (Even on the days you feel overwhelmed.) In my opinion having two under two is a little like the best roller coaster ride of your life...sometimes you are "scared shitless", and at other times you are at the top of the world. (I wonder if that the hormones...:))Either way, you'll be great!
