Happy Easter Weekend friends!! It seems strange that Easter isn't until Sunday, especially since our family has already celebrated it twice :-) We are actually having a little Easter brunch at our house Sunday and I am really looking forward to it. My Grandma loves Easter and she seemed pretty excited about getting to come over and eat Belgium waffles :-)
I have to be honest...I considered not taking the kids to see the bunny this year. Blake has been pretty scared of Santa and the bunny the past two years and I thought for sure this year would be the worst. But I hated letting the moment go, especially since Addie was asking to see him. And wouldn't you know...BOTH kids smiled and sat on the bunny's lap!! It's an Easter MIRACLE!!!
Yes...McQueen and Mater had to be in the picture too but hey...whatever works!! I'm just so happy we got a nice picture, and I am even more happy that I faced my fears and took the kids anyway because these memories are priceless. I love looking back over the years...
This was Addie's first Easter Bunny picture in 2008. She was only a few weeks old so we didn't take her to the real bunny :-)
This was our bunny picture from 2009 and I am SHOCKED that she is not crying here.
2010's picture is extra sweet to me because it was the first holiday picture with both kiddies :) They were NOT excited to see the bunny that year, which is why I was in the picture too.
And of course last year's picture was...well...a little difficult.
Isn't it amazing how fast these kids grow?!!
Just like with Santa this past Christmas, the kids are really getting into the whole idea of going to bed and waking up to the magic of the holiday. I can't wait for the bunny to come and set out their baskets. It's going to be such a fun morning :-)
And of course, lets not forget the reason for the season. This is the time for all of us to thank Jesus for the life that he has given us. I know our family has a ton to be thankful for this year.
Happy Easter everyone!! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
